For now, my search for the optimal portable Bluetooth speaker to an end. I have tested several tens of devices in the course of time, measured and compared. With no, I was 100% satisfied. Either the bass the problem child, or the Speaker bugged with exaggerated heights. Many speakers are not exactly robust, hardly suitable for transporting. Some had bad Bluetooth receiver, or blast the audience with bright LEDs in the face. Last but not least, some competitors clearly fun to maltreat their environment quäkigen announcements.
The Denon has in my opinion the best overall package, including on its price range beyond!
It has excellent facilities: NFC, APTX, jack input, battery indicator, dual microphones, splash protection and carrying case. The BT connection is rock solid, I had no disconnections. There are no shrill beeps or pesky voice signals, but only a discreet "beep" when turning. As the Speaker to turn off automatically when no signal is present, you can very well use it before going to sleep, without the Speaker in the morning yet. The LEDs located on the side, so the listener does not shine in the face, like some other device. Fantastic, just as you have to make it! The designers have really given some thought.
The sound is always clean, never tiring or pointed, sounds very natural, the bass range is embedded discreetly and has sufficient depth, the -3 dB point is approximately 80 Hz. There are no peaks or valleys, the sound is completely linear and suitable for all styles of music. The best sounds of Denon but in demanding acoustic music like jazz, classical or blues. For heavy rock or techno orgies of bass is a bit too weak. For its size, it is still amazing to provide much of the foundation Envaya Mini is capable. He is no Partybox but a cultured speaker for demanding listeners. The DSP works almost perfectly, and regulates the sound depending on the volume to an undistorted level. And the spatial stage presentation examined in this size range second to none!
Even as a hands he is to make good use of, the interlocutor it sounds somewhat reverberant but otherwise well understood. Most speakers that I had here so far have been absolutely useless.
The only drawback is the battery life. In the vicinity of the specified 10 hours I'm just at whisper. If you turn up loud, melts the battery capacity in a few hours there. Charging takes on a strong power supply for about 2 hours.
Nevertheless, I forgive five stars because there are for 100 euros in my opinion currently no better total package of design, equipment, technique, feel and sound.
Thank Denon, for this small but excellent piñata!
