In previous reviews the essence is said to camera.
I myself use the Nikon D7000 for almost 3 years and was and am happy with the camera on the whole.
Only in low light is not always reliable autofocus is unsatisfactory.
I like when the relatively small body, like the D7000 D610, namely the non-MP to inflated 24 Megapixel, 36 also have their charm, but are usually too much to me and driving the computer too much.
Since I love to take pictures even in low light, while happy to indemnify strong, no way passed by full-frame, for me, who wants to make an amateur satisfactory photos.
This is where the D610 can score, which is almost identical to D7000 by the operator.
1.Autofocus: Despite seemingly the same module to D7000 in low light, fast and reliable. Sitting on the point.
2.High Iso Performance: significantly better than ISO 3600 D7000, met my expectations fully. The images the colors are in high-Isobereich also contrast, stronger.
3.Weissabgleich: much smoother and more realistic, especially in low light than the D7000, but also does its job quite well.
4.HDR: Prima thing to make a fast recording times with an increased dynamic range, interiors of churches, for example. Because, unfortunately only recordings in JPG are possible, this setting is recommended to store them in one of the user modes, for people like me, otherwise store in RAW format. Here are the user modes a real plus !!
5: Live View and video: the Live View I only use to preflight the photos and their focus and when shooting video. He is in need of improvement, particularly in video, shows there is not often that is visually what subsequently actually recorded. This shortcoming relates to my experience, but only the LiveView in video mode.
Here it makes sense with Aperture to experiment ISO sensitivity and time to get optimal results.
Weiss is about and how to circumnavigate the succeed-class video, which I like to do as a musician of artists in my studio during the recording sessions. With high-intensity fixed focal lengths here are really professional-looking results. A quantum leap in the quality of the D7000, but also brings acceptable results there.
Nevertheless, an appeal to Nikon: please nachbessern- the D800 is clearly better in this area!
I've made with the Nikkor 35-70mm Nikkor 50mm 2.8D and 1.4D Most photos.
Both lenses that used to buy relatively cheap and are can be described on the D610 as a notch.
In the faint kit lens I have deliberately omitted.
Who has a thing or two DX lens in the closet, also can use this on the D610 then has only one resolution at 12 megapixels.
I myself will continue to use both D7000 and D610 cameras, Nikon, they complement each other perfectly, and have a large intersection.
The only thing that bothers me to Nikon's politics are the artificial restrictions such as bracketing with a maximum of 3 photos, to name just one example.
But that can be easily circumnavigate but is not satisfactory as more time-consuming.
And good photos are often from the moment depends. Every second that I need to spend on Body with settings, are as a real disadvantage, even with HDR.
Still, the camera has convinced me and brings true joy, determined people who are not familiar so much, but want to make great photos, thanks to full auto and presets that I personally rarely use, but under pressure of time sometimes a real benefit are.
Clear 5 stars for this camera, it's fun, met my expectations fully and is sometimes even faster and bring in my opinion, the chance of getting better or even shot photos as the big sister D800, which also significantly triggers loud, and because of their large datasets even in burst mode is much slower.
I had between flirted with a Sony Alpha 7 and was also excited at the beginning ... but it tends with foreign lenses to soft corners ... but would, due to their operation and the handling have been a real alternative. However, due to existing good strong light Nikkorobjektive I'm happy with my decision.
Just a pity that Nikon has fallen out with the D600 much sympathy ..... now cautious policy model and reliability is called for ... and also
a reflection in Japan as to whether the short-term share price is more important than customer satisfaction ... probably not !!!
