Have the BDP-S360 for a few days and have to say that I have no complaints.
The start time I do not think too long, especially since it is also significantly less than one minute.
I'd rather wait 30sec in front of film in buying than that - as documented in some other manufacturers - the image like in the movie freeze just 3-7 seconds, which is clearly not the case in this player. Crashes or Hakeleien there has been also no. I had the BDP-S300 before and therefore I can here notice a significant development.
After the brief initial installation of the player is ready for immediate use and requires incidentally again less time to boot up. So do not skip first installation)
With switched Quick Start Mode is in my start time unit then just long enough that I go to my closet, take the Blu-ray out of the box and can put in the player. So no star limitation here.
Now for the really Interesting: The eingschaltete Player. Once the image is there, everything works properly and without long loading times (BD about 5-10 seconds. No DVD) Operation is virtually no latency and consistently smooth and pleasant.
The main menu is slim designed, clear and intuitive. One finds here with the possible playing media such as BD drive and USB slot also direct access to the configuration menu, which leaves no wish unfulfilled.
In bullet points summarized again:
+ Image is sharp, and color-Rückelfrei top.
+ Good upscaling of DVDs
+ Sound has tremendous momentum and good pressure. So far, no mistakes or little smallest noise heard.
+ Cute Design
+ Online Capability
+ Easily accessible configuration and diverse settings
+ Plays BD / CD / DVD / Cameras / MP3 ect
+ Clear, intuitive menu guidance
+ Fan practically inaudible
Processed + Clean
Now for the weaknesses.
It is incomprehensible to me why Sony has such a modern and originally not soooo cheap device attaches such a terrible remote.
She is:
- Unlit
- Unergonomic
- Billig³
- Does not have Open / Close (well taken strictly is not matter anyway You have to anyway towards the player ....)
I for all my devices a multi-remote, this is use for me but could not care less, whereby the 5 stars are not affected. Open / Close is the way, then also usable)
In addition, the player does not DivX - certified, said also does not matter to me because I play multimedia content from your PC and send it to the TV via HDMI.
Who a stable, mature Blu-Ray - looking look for Blu Ray and DVD player, so I can only recommend the BDP-S360. Unrestricted buy recommendation.
(However, should a multifunction remote control to be purchased)
