Shortly to my background: I like Huawei devices. The total price is unbeatable, if you set the performance offered in this correlation. After my Huawei P6 had to be returned due to an error display under warranty, I have now decided to use the weighted here G750.

My motives were: a good, large display, good battery life and a good overall performance with at least 2GB RAM and an adequate processor speed. The camera should deliver usable images.

1. Processing / Design

I opted for the black version, because a preliminary evaluation warned against the white version for workmanship. The processing and the design are in my opinion very successful. The size of the screen (at least 5.5 inches) makes the phone not clunky. It is very comfortable to hold and also a one-handed operation is possible with the appropriate settings Huawei holds, with which the keyboard is reduced euf a manageable size, so typing with one hand is possible.

The processing can be described as good. It creaks nothing and the battery lid closes completely when you do it right (from top to bottom, always at the same time press the left and right, otherwise there remains an uncomfortable gap, which I did not notice at always immediately what has led to the accumulation of dust)

The headphone jack is mounted on top and not as in P6 on the right side. The microUSB port is located at the bottom center.

The battery cover is beautifully wrapped grip with a kind of imitation leather.

The opening for the speaker is inserted into the battery cover down. This means that the volume of music playback drops noticeably when the smartphone is on the table or bed.

All in all a solid and good workmanship with good material quality. The plastic is very valuable and does not feel cheap. However, one should not drop on hard surfaces too smartphone. For me there were two days a small Katsche in entering an edge because it accidentally from the bed (40cm) fell on carpet.

2. Software

My biggest weakness is considered the software. Anyway, with my unit, I could not shake the feeling that the software is not properly tuned to the hardware.

First of all, the smartphone runs on the latest Android 4.2.2 version halfway, which is good - many other devices, which are much more expensive in some cases, still run on older Android versions. However, would be welcome if Huawei would offer already available in China update on 4.4 Kitkat in Europe. This is not to be expected immediately after today's knowledge.

The Huawei's surface is not objectionable. EMUI 2.0 is considered very mature and beautiful. With Themes can be the appearance of the home screen, the icons and lock screen change along with backgrounds and sounds. Big Cinema! Many easily accessible settings complete usability.

Huawei also brings some very useful applications. So can restrict or disable certain apps, network access. You can also prevent the execution of apps at launch or in the background if you want. A good backup solution, a file manager, a music player, FM radio, calculator, stopwatch, weather app, LED Lamp and many are also on board.

What I did not like is the fact that it constantly gave WiFi disconnections. Maybe I just caught a bad device, but it was unbearable: the WLAN icon appeared briefly and then disappeared immediately, even though it was in the settings the WLAN. The behavior was reproducible and always after you wake up from sleep (I have it set so that Wi-Fi is in standby is not running in order to save battery). In any case could then after waking up from standby and the repeated switching on and off the WLAN switch the WLAN does not activate permanently. Only after a restart behavior for a short time could be eliminated - is just off to the WLAN standby.

The smart phone has two SIM card slots. One of these is micro Sim. I could not test the second SIM card, since I use only one SIM card at the moment. The simultaneous use of two SIM cards is possible. You can then make calls over both. I just do not know if the same time (art conference mode with Hold and continue speaking on the other SIM) is possible.

As for the connection quality, so I have just as with WLAN deduct points. Even the closing of shutters (wooden) has pressed the connection strength from maximum to half (Eplus network, good network coverage). The phone my wife (also Huawei - G615) always showed this full bonding strength.

During a telephone conversation my opponent was very bad understand me often. There was also total dropouts, where my opponent I could not even hear me.

This behavior was repeated several times in various communication situations (on the train, the train station, at home). This behavior is completely unacceptable. Finally, a phone (also) is there to make a call, even if at the display size one is inclined to say that it was more of a computer than a phone.

The audio quality is moderate. The only speaker is loud but not optimally set. Listening to music is thus hardly possible permanently. The supplied earphones are useless. Whether the audio quality with high-quality headphones is better, I could not test. A software equalizer makes music playback a little more comfortable, but the bad hardware can not be outweighed it.

The speakerphone works well, however.

4. Display

Yes, it is huge for a smartphone. On the other hand, after a while you realize the size of nothing and reading the display contents from relaxed. It also invites to read and watch. The colors are very tired and the image contrast. Despite the relatively modest HD resolution, you can tell them anything.

The touch inputs to be implemented quickly. However, the inputs while surfing froze temporarily. But that is probably not on the screen itself.

Since I do not play games on your phone, I could not test the performance. Antutu has an income of just under 20,000 points showed me what is good.

In practice it has been shown that 8 cores is not yet everything. The system was at times very slow. In the energy settings can activate the profile (normal). This is recommended because otherwise the tap with the included Swype keyboard is so cruel sluggish.

In part, the entire system froze for a few moments, so you could not scroll when surfing for example, and the touch input has been ignored. After a few moments, put the whole but again. Annoying if you want to look something up quickly.

7. Camera

For my standards, the two cameras are good enough for a smart phone. They trigger fairly quickly and deliver passable results. Colors are slightly oversaturated but not too uncomfortable both in artificial light as outdoors. With a bit of photo editing allows the snapshots to print well. For quality photos I have always my DSLR.

The camera software can be described as good. It contains many useful modes and image editing options.

Annoying I found that the shutter sound can not be deactivated. Even if the volume is set to zero, solves the camera with this awful beeping tone. In quiet environments that may well be a problem.

8. Conclusion

With the individual limitations I could have lived, if not the problems with Wi-Fi and dropped calls have prompted me to return the Smartphone within the Amazon return right. As a substitute I bought now, after a long history of the Huawei LG G2.
