Background: We wanted to replace our Audio Technica ATH-m50x because Incable remote missing on the go and we find him visually improved. The ATH-MSR7 is considered by many (also because of the precise wording of the notice of Audio Technica himself) as his successor.
But he went back to the supplier (Topkaufmunich, by the way: thank you for smooth refund) because:
- Punch the bass is much lower vs. the m50x;. Although may be neutral, but is not us subjectively,
. - The cable quality vs. the m50x looks bad; cable incl. sheath is much thinner,
- The headphones in to rattle / crack, when you hold it in your hands and a pinna moved low or prone; This behavior is reproducible depending on how the headphones sits on the head and therefore also occurs with certain head movements,
- The Incable remote can not change volume (who developed because such a thing ???).
If the Klapperei is on a Monday or manufacturing of the fact that this one of the first produced models was at all if I'd be interested n sound imaging to a neutral (right), I would choose the Audio Technica hesitation.
Comfort is the relatively high weight (290g) very good (Bose: 140g, Sennheiser: 190g, Sony: 225g). Optimal contact pressure, heat generation well. (We could the headphones for several hours well and comfortable to wear.) (Outside to inside and) Soundproofing for us far from sufficient. Feel and visual appearance Class subjective.
The other suspects (Sennheiser Momentum, Urbanite / Sony MDR-1A / Beyerdynamics Custom One Pro / Beats Solo2 / Philips M1mkII / Bose sound True / NAD Viso HP50 / V-Moda M100) were all here and appeal to us from the sound far. The ATH-MSR7 was significantly better.
