Sound is better than expected!

On Tuesday evening I ordered this screen after I had only one of Samsung in the eye. The Samsung product was missing but the DVI input and my video card has only one HDMI output already occupied. But back to the actual topic:
Ordered Tuesday night, delivery was indicated by Thursday (Prime-customer) and come in a huge package on Thursday afternoon by DHL. Included in the package was the package from ASUS that the packet in length and width (not in height, here was still very much room!) Completely filled out. It turned out to be a bit difficult to take the package to the board, especially since I wanted a package of this size do not damage, in the event that I would have to send the screen back, because of pixel errors or other damage. So much in advance, the screen is connected is a few hours and not a single pixel errors.
The next hurdle was far more difficult to get the Bilschirm from the ASUS packaging. He was certainly padded well, but that did not lead to the fact that I was not able to remove the screen alone out of the box.

Setting up is easy. There is a walk that suits only one side of the remaining part of the screen. Connecting was a little more difficult again, as the inputs are installed pointing to the back of the floor, but know the probably meissten of their Fehrnseher and also because you get the point.
The cables will be delivered, in my opinion are not a waste, but to use quite well so far. Only one thing bothers me: The supplied cables are only about 1.5 m long. For many, this is not a problem. If you have your computer directly below the desk, that should be no problem. However, the power cord is very short. You should take care, that the screen is on the edge of the desk and immediately below a socket is.

Connected to the DVI, PC started, turned the screen. Immediately appeared the Ladebilschirm of Windows (7). Even the desktop appeared without the problem described that the aspect ratios are not collected properly. With my ATI Radeon HD7790 at least this was not a problem. Otherwise play around the settings or ask google if yours the problem occurs.
The screen resolution I have converted from 720p to 1080p, which is up to you. Even with 1080p everything is still large and legible.

We come to the clay where the previous reviews had me a little put off: The screen has a 3.5mm input and also a commercially available 3.5mm cable included (Attention, only about 1.5 m long!). Since DVI no sound transfers (other than an also existing HDMI connection) I have the audio cable still attached to the monitor and PC (who does not know what port he can use for the sound, life should make easy and the HDMI port use, otherwise google surveys). I do not understand how you can complain about the sound quality. The statement: "The sound is worse than some phone speakers!" I can not support. My mobile phone (iPhone) not even make this volume, which generates the screen and it is not now as if the tone sound very tinny.
Who enjoys listening to music with his PC and worth it sets, a simple sound system should specify that a normal 3.5 mm jack has. This can then either install directly on the PC, or if you lay the sound with HDMI only on the screen and you want to save the work to look in Windows, how to set the tone for what other places than HDMI, the can 3, attach 5mm cable to the speaker output on the screen. I have, however, not to try before you, because I fully sufficient sound.
For the price but you can not expect that you have installed a 7.1 sound system, even if that would be very nice course.

All in all, I am convinced of the screen so far. If I come under serious shortcomings in the next few days, I'm going to tell you that yet.
