For these headphones I had decided, since he has been praised in many reviews. Add to that a microphone? Why not, sounds great. I also liked the idea with the cover vinyl really handy. So far so good, now to my experiences:
Processing
===========
The processing is now nothing special. Some write here what metal to the earphones. However, the only metal is the jack ... Just the look is a little in the direction of "metallic" trimmed - all fail this imitation but. So it should not have too high expectations. The parts on which the silicone articles are draufgesetzt have so little "plastic tabs" which makes no quality impression. Even the bold "Made in China" inscription on the jack sometimes acts a little disturbing (a buddy of mine has the same headphones and has already said - is there really applied very prominent, you can see it every time you plugging the headphones). Well, these criticisms are, however, offset by the cable again, more or less: The fabric sheath of the cable to the branch makes a really good impression and has always been missing in my old headphones. The pressure point of the button at the microphone is pleasant. The large and easy to read "R" or "L" on the earplugs I really liked. Even the straight plug is chosen, in my opinion correctly, as when listening to music with the phone an angled plug will only lead to unnecessary load on the cable.
All in all: The processing can impress neither positive nor negative, even with a few details Philips would have here can make a lot more out of it.
Comfort
===========
The comfort is of course always a little bit of support depends. There are a total of silicone tips in 3 sizes and a pair of foam earplugs included. I've tried all three silicone plugs, the foam does not because I appeared to unhygienic with many small pores. The small plugs are too small (slip always out) me, are the central press unpleasantly. One possible reason for this is the slightly different construction method compared to my old Creative headphones: The plug is not simply an all-silicone plugs but rumgegossen to harder plastic. Advantage: The plugs sit very tightly on the headphones. Disadvantage: Depending on the ears, you can feel the plastic and pushing uncomfortable. If I could live with it? I do not know, but I have not tried the headphones long enough (see later).
In addition, the rather loud whistling and wind noise should be aware of if you want to have the headphones while cycling or just jogging in it. The form is very susceptible to wind. I have not really tried the headphones long and could quickly understand this already described by other people problem anyway. This occurs more quickly than you think.
Sound quality

And now to the main point: Sound quality. The really sad chapter of these headphones and the reason why I forgive only one star (which brings me the most processed headphones if sound quality is murks?).
Already the first time to try (just had little time and was therefore only a few seconds "listen"), I was less than enthusiastic. Everything sounded "muffled". The bass was fine, but I lacked the heights. Then I thought to myself that probably just the song is of poor quality and have ... had first put away the headphones.
When I finally had the right time to test the headphones extensively (half an hour by train), has this first impression Unfortunately solidified. Not only that fit personally not appealed to me, but also my opinion abysmal sound quality. Now, I am none of these "hi-fi freaks" that costs demonize anything less than 1000. I just wanted a comparable or even slightly better with a bit of luck headphones than the Creative before (and was even a few euros cheaper). I am surprised that here in otherwise hardly / no review, the sound quality is criticized. I think it is unacceptable if I receive 31,12 (currently cost the headphones even just 25, a much more reasonable price!) Pay and then not a "reasonable" sound. Symptoms: "Dull" sound, in other words appropriate a lot of bass, but hardly heights - not that the headphones sounded broken, but the way this 50 Cent headphones that are city tours like dealt times. This means that the voice is only poorly understood. I had even allowed the fun listen in an audiobook: Since only realized how bad the heights are. I mean we can somehow follow, but a "clear voice" is what other. Plus you need now no exaggeration good things. As I said has a buddy of mine, although the same headset, but - with the sound quality - very satisfied. Who knows, maybe I caught a Monday model (unfortunately he lives too far away to the times to check up). Suggest doing but nothing else: It can be noted with no loose contacts or the like. So I'm going's assume that this is not the case and I will now continue to look at what else is out there so. I guess I look at times towards Sennheiser or so.
Others
========
Briefly I have the "remote" tried (had a Moto G with Android Kitkat - 4.4.4). This worked without problems as far as: Press once briefly: play / pause; Hold: Google Voice Search starts. At the sound (which seemed to be the case, yes, in some others) has meanwhile changed. The extra app I have not installed, I have enough garbage on my phone)
On the package I noticed positively that they could be open schadenlos and reseal, so it is not such a stupid blister (-> less stress when packing for the back end). Bit fiddly however, it was to elicit the cable because, as Philips has truly secured with such barbs - until I finally had the headphones out, are determined 5 minutes elapsed (when I told this to my aforementioned buddy, we are in the first place come out that he just has these headphones - so I'm not the only one who quite fiddly found the packaging).
Conclusion
====
The most important part of these headphones is not as expected: the sound. So I can not be more than one star and the headphones went back - as well as the best processing could no longer shake off. Something sad I am honestly know that they are gone, because the cable damn good and I liked that there are in the competition so no / little / only in more expensive headphones ...: /
