My favorite was due to the good reviews (and my other experiences with Sony products) of "MDR RX 500 LP". When unpacking it was a world of difference:
The devil lay in a low-use plastic-box - the only accessory besides the ear tips in 3 sizes was a simple small pocket for headphones.
The Sony comes in a very pleasant compact packaging, therefore - in addition to the accessories earpieces in 3 sizes still a cable winder and a chic upscale appeal pocket with magnetic closure.
Even the look of Sony's more here: chic case that you can grab good at running and rausholen again. The devil has only a small ball housing which can hardly grip - especially when Rausholen.
However, all this is only the trappings. Ultimately, we are talking about the sound; and here I was (still taught as a die-hard musicians and stereo / surround systems Pampered better.
Whether on MP3 Player (iriver) or SACD Player (Sony) or / and AV receiver (Marantz SR14 MK2); the result was the same:
The Sony had extremely shrill heights that sounded even falsified artificial - just pointed.
The bass were scarce. Overall, an extremely unbalanced sound!
After testing all three ear tips I stole hinbekommen no perfect fit without the Höhrer had not pressed for some time.
I wanted the headset especially for the mp3 player for train rides and when cycling (yes I know - I hear even silent, so I also hear the Polizeistrife ... ;-)
Especially when cycling but previously promised me housing bothered very much, because it produced by its vertical surface to slipstream an extreme driving noise (wind noise).
In order to get halfway "sound" I also had to turn up the bass very far.
To compare the devil headphones: the sound blew me away!
Perfect (natural) highs and warm bass - gorgeous!
Despite "friemeligem" case: just this was the Cycling awesome as it caused no wind noise!
For the sound I could hear the tone control fully to adjust linear (ok, I like it when the highs are slightly raised from a small 12kHz - is perhaps already at the age (47) ... ;-)
Both at the plant, as well as on mp3 player: the sound is a stunner.
Even the seat is equal to the standard earpieces perfectly (also appear another (softer) material, as to have the Sony Perfect Finish / seal;. No pressures (after 1h duration listening) ... perfect!
Toll to the devil in-ear I find that I can adjust the MP3 player so low and thus a much longer battery life have (example with my iriver:. Volume control up to level 40. When biking, or on the train because of the noise in the "standard buttons" Volume 15 - 20th
With the in-ear parts: 3-5 !!! at the same loudness perception! Great!
Oh yes, the Sony I have returned ;-)
However, one disadvantage is the Devil: The cable is extremely sensitive to touch! Once it moves, or to get on the other hand, produces the devil equally strong interference / noise. That was both the Sony as well as my "iriver buttons" not so! Example: calm sitting can run music through the Devil Ear Höhrer in his chair and his thumb and forefinger "together smack" (I can not think of better term a). If you do this and the cable of the devil is in between, then it sounds like a bass drum that drowned out almost all the music.
That's not nice.
When cable devil should therefore rectify (thicker cable shielding me? I do not know ...)
But I am certain that if the development can produce a sound as "devilishly good" ear Höhrer, get the the same with the cable grip ;-))
I hope I will have many years of pleasure from the "devil Areol Groove". Sonically they are perfect (especially for the price)!
Update 24/05/11:
Since my review of Sony (500) and comparing the hell did I get some feedback, some of which already have been almost personally. Apparently, people have yet a different listening / -experience. Otherwise I can not explain this very different opinions.
Now I can only confirm my positive opinion of 2 months of testing. Even my daughter was so impressed by the devil, that it has the same well appointed; together with the COWON J3 player who is not really the worst.
We would be the devil in any case buy again (assuming he also holds long - that time will tell)
