First, I must mention that I would describe myself as a technology freak who's smartphones like frequently changes. If I own a unit more than about 3 months, it has definitely won me over. I need then just something new.
The LG L5 does not belong to just called Category I'll explain in more detail.
The positives for L5: It is handy, acts (subjective) chic and is well equipped (with NFC and Android 4).
The negatives for L5: It is in my eyes is definitely only for beginners or people who are very frugal in the use of smartphones. The display is very poor (both resolution and viewing angles). Had many smartphones and L5 is part of the worst Display category. Here I compare it not with a Samsung Galaxy S3 or other high-end smartphone, but with other beginners and middle-class smartphones such as the LG L7 or the Samsung Galaxy S Advance. I already owned both devices and both have convinced me, so I call these models to compare (are also priced probably in the area of alternatives). The L7 currently costs about 30, - - 40, - Euro more, the Galaxy S Advance about 80, - Euro more (based on the original price / at used equipment falling, the differences even smaller). Both have much better displays. The display is always in front of him, therefore, must meet certain basic requirements of this already, so to me at all fun to work with the device. This misses the L5 unfortunately almost completely. For me anyway incomprehensible how in this day and age the idea comes in a 4-inch screen resolution of 320 x 480 pixels to integrate. As has been saved definitely at the wrong end.
The performance also corresponds only to the entry-level class, as it often lags (jerky in various applications). Here I'm not talking about of elaborate games, but from simple applications such WhattsApp or SMSs and the exchange between homescreen and sublevel (applications, widgets, etc.). Power reported is therefore really no more than the price range and already L7 is faster. From Galaxy S Advance we need not to speak, this distancing both devices clearly. The LG UI (user interface) is very pleasant and nice to look at, slows this smartphone with its only 800 MHz clocking single core processor but noticeably from. Here a pure Android would have been probably better.
Conclusion: The two, for me, the most important criteria (display and performance) are met only very basic. You get here höchtstens what you paid for. For people who have just switched from a normal mobile phone, this may well be enough. For those who already owned another smartphone, I can not recommend the L5. Invested prefer a little more (we are talking about a maximum of 80, - Euro for the Galaxy S Advance or just 30, - 40, - Euro for the L7) and rejoice in both cases to a much better display and a slightly better performance (L7 ) or a much better performance (Galaxy S Advance). Incidentally, the battery performance of L5 is good, the other two devices as well. So also here no credit to the L5. Only the price is naturally lower. Who really, for economic reasons, can not spend more, can take the L5 necessary (but then must make friends with the deficits). Otherwise, clear recommendation of the two alternatives!
