And now some of the endless discussions and more or less good advice to migrate to HD SSD and performance in internet forums:
a) "Better the same Windows 7 or 8!" - I wanted to stay conscious with my XP and it will also, to the computer one day abraucht. I had simply no desire to set up completely new computer, especially since I no activation for MS Office have become more free. And the thing on and on yes.
b) "AHCI mode in the BIOS" - tried system does not boot, so back to IDE while bleibts.
c) "Alignment" - was with me "BAD". In Internet circulating how to correct the above freeware programs instructions, - that was too dangerous. So I for 20, - Euro bought a tool of Paragon and corrects both disks so. May sound diletantisch, but has saved me a lot of trouble and no data destroyed. And both SSD run after really fast.
In summary therefore: Although XP, the system also is actually suboptimal for the SSD and ancient, this boot is now a matter of seconds (say less than one minute). Programs start - felt - incredibly fast and the rattle of the disk and I do not miss. The move has so definitely worth it, and if the computer now holds a few more years, I'm happy and satisfied. And I hope my review helps a little when still undecided.
