Well, yesterday the part has been received and after 2 hours Assembly here my first impressions:
- Very Edeles appearance, anodized red still looks much better than in the photos.
- The processing is incredibly solid, it shows when the massive lever and clamping devices look at.
- There's nothing to build and set up anything. The device comes ready out of the box ready to use.
- Unfolds quickly to a very solid bicycle repair stand - only the screw for the quick release I had to put something so that they develop the necessary train.
- The machine is so stable that you could trap even heavy wheels without the linkage so much sag that the cranks can no longer turn to come without the vertical stand. This is a weak point unfortunately in many other models. Ie. Although delivered leave for the weight, but then no longer usable.
- Pinching and clearing is solved ingeniously. Everything works through quick-release levers, as they are known by MTB bicycle seatpost ago. Then you can select the herizontalen angle for any frame geometry. Ranschieben The holding jaws on grid up on contact, tighten and every frame thickness budge. Filigree steel frame and the oversized MTB aluminum tube of Spezialized Epic series fit to 7cm diameter easily. As an emergency stop button (Quick release) you can with a flick of the same, immediately release the top tube again - I find great. The jaws are made of plastic and do not damage the paintwork.
- Very nice, I find that I can finally now comfortable working at chest height to the Bowtenzügen below the frame. The bike can be as much push upwards that rather my garage ceiling of 2.40 m is the limit before I ausreize the work stand.
- The cross arm for receiving the frame is incredibly versatile. It all only imaginable settings are available: swivel left or right, diagonally up or down and left and right around its own axis. And all very easy and extremely safe set.
What is to be considered?
- This model has a quick release system for the clamp. A small shock on the red button next to the receiving terminal is this immediate release. The first time I was not prepared for it and the frame is collided on the 2 cm underneath edge of the pickup. Not so bad, but need not be. It is therefore important before I draufschlabe the "emergency stop" hold with the other hand the frame.
- For max. Stability it is necessary that one of the three feet pointing toward the wheel - 90 ° angle to the running direction of the wheel. The broadest possible level of the tripod also increases safety.
Weaknesses?
Not found - and this happens really rare for me.
Alternatives?
Model "Pro Ultra Light"
But in order to anticipate the same time, the "Pro Ultra Light" draws against the present here "Pro Elite" the short straw.
- The transverse arm of the "Elite Pro" is designed comfortable.
- The Pro Elite also has a quick release system (Quick release button - I have it down called emergency stop button) is sharing the quick-release slide immediately.
- Quick clamping slides - the counterpart to the "emergency stop". Thus, the jaws can be ranschieben to the pipe on clicks easy letze the pressure then takes place as the UltraLight a hand screw.
- The jaws take slightly larger pipe diameter - 66mm instead of 48mm in Ultralight
- However, the cross tube can go upwards a little more; Height 1.8 m instead of 1.5 m at the Ultralight
- This also explains the difference in weight between the two devices from 5,7kg to 4.8 at the Ultralight. The differences lie in comfort, stability is at the same level and the lifting capacity is identical to the sequence in both models 38kg.
But I would always resort to the present here "Pro Elite", because it's simply more convenient and flexible einseztbar while barely heavier.
Conclusion:
Great device, which can be stowed small but fully "developed" quite large auftrumpft. Due to the low weight and small dimensions also recommended for portable use.
Now Bowden cables makes working on chain, sprocket, rear derailleur, and again a lot of fun and goes quickly out of hand. That was almost impossible previously, which is why I did not at all or very reluctantly made.
Can I put any experienced cyclists only warmly to her heart.
The price is very reasonable for such high quality.

Follow-up:
After a further 3 weeks of very intensive installation with mounting stand, I can state that the initial very positive impression was the right one. Here wobbles nothing, everything fits and there is absolutely no weaknesses. I will have many more years of fun with the bike stand.
