To put it briefly: Each of these requirements the G Pad initially met on the paper then with me, if not exceeded.
Optics / haptics / processing 5/5
The device is really nice to look at and had already unpacked with the back of brushed metal extremely high. It is easy enough in hand to use it on buses and trains, or the evening in bed with one hand for reading, but not raised here seems of the cheapest, thin plastic to exist.
Display / Resolution 5/5
The size of slightly more than 8 inches is ideal for me. PDF's can still be read well are displayed with which A4 pages, as well as the display of Internet pages is comfortably possible. The display is brilliant, in higher brightness outside reasonably readable even in sun, at home and in public transport I have the display usually set at 30% brightness.
OS 5/5
Immediately after delivery, I have updated before installing other apps Android to version 4.4.2. That ran smoothly and without any problems. Unfortunately, I was not spoiled by my last smartphone maker Samsung with software updates and remained long on Android 2.3 (which already no longer played along some apps), so I was very impressed by this simple procedure unproblematic.
Performance 4/5
The processing power is enough for me completely. All previously installed apps run just as the Android-surface smoothly and without any problem. Where it already takes a little is the reloading of pages when reading in a larger PDF document that is stored on the memory card. Oh, and also a point that could be important for many potential customers: The memory of the tablet can be upgraded with memory cards so that about photos, music, e-books can be stored, etc..
Battery life 5/5
Most excited I am from the battery, the sometimes lasts me for four or five days. Although I have the Tablet is not used for continuous movie watching, but in these five days many hours Spotify streaming, several hours e-book reading, as well as normal surfing (news apps, Facebook, Internet) were included. Where you have to have some patience while charging the battery. This can ever take three an hour ...
Ports / connectivity 5/5
Connections to the unit keeps the ready, what I might have expected me about it. Right, it is not a mobile Internet possible - you're bound to WLAN / WiFi. That was chalked the device in some places, and certainly it is for potential buyers who want to surf the web quite important. To chalk it a device that is designed but differently, and therefore to evaluate bad, I still think this is wrong. Otherwise, everything is there, what you need: the WLAN works perfectly, with the Q-Pair app allows the mobile phone via Bluetooth with the (also LG) Smartphone couple what the exchange of data, telephony, Internet reception with the tablet even without your own allow Wi-Fi network.
Useful additional features 5/5
Furthermore, I am quite impressed by the knock-on feature that activates the screen with two light knockers.
All in all a great device that receives 5/5 points from me.
