The cable pliers Stanley FatMax 89-874 is very comfortable to hold, in spite of the regular weight of 332 grams. The non-slip handles be thanked.
The pliers opens itself very easily, but this positive factor. The blades are extremely sharp. Cable 2x 0.75 mm², 2.5 mm² 3x, 5x 1.5 mm² or even clotheslines with wire are for the FatMax 89-874 no problem. The fact that the forceps smoothly opens and closes, is hardly a great effort needed. The sectional image is clean, every single wire is finely divided.
My Conclusion:
For many years I have used a side cutter for cutting or shortening of cables. The sectional view which is often torn, which was due to the quality of pliers or the cable were too thick, in order to cut through all of a sudden. The Stanley FatMax 89-874 cable pliers replaced my side cutter and belongs in every toolbox. Price not cheap but a clear Best Buy.
