After my Logitech Harmony 525 is defective after 3 years, needed a new one. I opted for the OFA 7960 due to the fairly low price. I had no display and no more Activities was clear to me. The setting up my equipment worked extent (TV LG LCD, ClarceTech satellite, Pioneer amplifier, Phillips BDP3100), either by code or simply using the learning function (which works really fast). First I had the problem that I wanted all devices with On / Off button. I had found on the OFA website the instructions for macros and parameterized. Now works. However, if you then use the Smart Control (since where various devices can be operated simultaneously), this functionality is no longer without first re-select SmartControl achievable. That was the moment when I thought about the part may return after all. Then I've caught my 4 remotes and easily programmed on TV or DVD using the learning function everything. So what SmartControll actually does. So I can turn all ON / OFF and use the equipment. I realize that this is not in any user so is OK. However with me I need the TV only on and off since everything (switch HDMI, volume, etc.) of other Pio amplifier accepts or satellite receiver. The only downside is if you look at TV and then choose DVD want everything switches off (ie TV, SAT, amplifier) and then again all turns (TV, DVD, amplifier), because the part can not remember the states (for everyone in the Harmony's). So for me and my equipment fits the remote control.
