I also want to salute the talent of this author, who always manages to surprise us despite the fact that we are already in the twelfth book in the series. For me, ODLN is my favorite paranormal saga, by far! The fact that the main story on the Accession follows its course brings a special touch to this romance. I was very excited to see some characters that we hear about for ages, and I expected more than ever the history of Nix, because for once we saw a tiny shift of his eyes! I have not read the tome on the Dacians and actually it made me a little embarrassed to understand some aspects of the story, but nothing insurmountable. And what a pleasure to see my darlings, Rydstrom and Sabine!
Regarding Melanthe, Thronos and their relationship, I found it very beautiful. I appreciate the fact that the author has kept the "friendly" side that unites since they were children. The fact that despite their differences they understand each other as well touching. And how can you resist a man who is chasing you for 500 years? Thronos is a right man, much less scary than it appears in earlier volumes (which makes sense since it is seen from the perspective of Sorcieri) and I liked it very much. Just as I have affection for Lanthe, while not dethroned Sabine, which will remain for me a heroine anthology. But the little sister is no slouch and well made me laugh sometimes. The Kingdom of Vrekeners is very original, and I greet once again KC for his imagination!
In short, you'll understand that it's still a success that this twelfth volume! The wait for the result will be long, but with a series of such quality, it is a lesser evil. Meanwhile, this novel deserves full marks.
