The McCloud Brothers, Book 6: The ultimate passion (Paperback)

Customer Review

Again, Shannon McKenna me away! This sixth volume is a marvel. Do not put all hands, because as usual the author pulls no punches on the adventures that the characters live. But really, it's a great novel.

Finally, we find in this sixth Tamara pane, and boy what a heroine! She did not disappoint, though I expected a lot from that character inabituel. Here she became a mother, having adopted Rachel, the girl that you come across in volume 5 and more paranoid than ever. It's a complex woman, who lived terrible things in his life and behind impenetrable barriers. Well, almost. Car Val Janos initially hired to kidnap his daughter and blackmail, will manage to pierce its defenses. And what was basically a seduction mission will soon turn against him.

I loved the chemistry that happens between them. These are two characters who have not been spared by life and who shares a very similar past. They both have much to lose in this story and well know. Yet they still recognize and will try to help each other. At least, Val will try to do his best while Tam struggles like a tigress.

The story is cleverly put together, it is a treat. Lots of action, an unbearable suspense, a plot that holds up, it's perfect. As usual with Shannon McKenna, some passages were poorly put me at ease and I had butterflies in my stomach by reading, but fortunately the worst is avoided every time.

So it is a very successful book, led by characters out prefectures, scenes of passion always well described and intrigue breathtaking. Really, if you are new to this series, I can only advise you!
