Basically this key can reserve a portion of its read-only memory to emulate CD / DVD virtual USB, which is a standalone player can not access a part read / write (the one you are interested in Windows ) or that some computers do not start over when the BIOS is not able to correctly detect two USB devices.

From the you can use the program u3_tool [...] which allows:
- Enable / disable encryption and / or security of the key
- Resize / disable CD party / DVD virtual USB
- To instruct ANY PICTURE CD / DVD in the virtual drive !!!

The last point is simply MAGICAL because after resizing the CD / DVD section has 8GB (leaving do "more than" 8GB of data on my 16GB) can be loaded in any DVD image of Windows installation (95, 98, Me, 2000, XP, 2003, Vista, 2008, Seven), Linux, Solaris, BSD ...
As long as the motherboard knows boot properly on the virtual CD / DVD it works! And it is a disproportionate rate at a real CD / DVD, whether for a LiveCD (I keep a Ubuntu image with read-only 1GB and 15GB for data for a while, He was a true delight to use) or a Windows install (the key delivers just under 25MB / s linear reading, let alone access time that is several hundred times shorter than an optical disk).
