Although the band is often forced into the pure Doom area, I see the extremely strong songs in rather midtempo heavy and progressive tinged Heavy Metal, enriched with some Doomparts that one z. B. with "Solitude Aeturnus" or the unfortunately largely unknown Italians can compare "The Foreshadowing". Most likely I would see here the great "Communic" as a parallel.
Is offered very atmospheric music with wrong Melody Lines and many song relevant Breaks, which is not necessarily a given. It is difficult to filter out the highlights on this record, because to move all the songs at a very high musical level.
As Anspieltipps I would sometimes enriched with some excellent acoustic parts tractor "Dead To Me (Pt. I)", and the massive "The Eye Of Light" name, which with a poignant midsection still can additionally points.
But the absolute highlight is likely to be to die for beautiful "Alone In Silence", a funky vocal line, madness Breaks, and a fantastic finale!
Worth mentioning besides the brilliant song structure, the strong vocals of Daniel Bryntse who can boast one of the most original and melodic voices in the metal sector, the choirs, fantastic guitar solos, and the extremely varied drumming of Victor Parri! Bassist Jimmy Mattsson controls occasionally a few grunts when that terrible impact disturbing, and were really used very subtly.
A clear increase to slightly lean predecessor "Born From Shadows", the date represents the rear for me in the discography of Isole.
A disc should call his own EVERY rock fan, regardless of the basic orientation, so clearly the highest rating!
