The love between the two characters, Minerva Highwood, geologist and Lord Colin Payne, who do not do much of his life, is approached in a very original way. Every 2 francs are, they dare and do everything backwards compared to the majority of people. What makes this story is both fresh, erotic and funny (not in the same way as the first volume, it is more in the words exchanged, it is more subtle, no laughs as in 1). Tessa Dare really knows how to play with words, it's very well written. And those Spindle Cove ladies are really amazing, they are both very intelligent for its time, but also malignant, bright, curious, fresh, in a "cute" word and Minerva in particular. And we love it, and Colin Payne will also love it. He, too, is no exception: he whose childhood was marked by the death of his parents, who thinks Mr. "jinx" is a very sensitive being who pretends not to be . We love it too.
