Overall, still a lot of stuff, all of which will be housed.
In addition, I would like to have some room for improvement, because I would like to extend even to a 70-200mm telephoto and wide-angle 10-22mm my equipment.
Furthermore, I reluctantly wanted a backpack just for the photo accessory, but a still an additional, large compartment has for beverages, breads, mobile phone, wallet, possibly a light jacket etc .. Too Big, he should not be.
So that is the starting point, then it was time to give and see if everything fits.
(See my pictures, which I have included here)
Overall, I have to say has the Tamrac Evolution 9 lot of storage space, both in the subject for the photo accessories, as well as in the specialist about it.
1.) storage space for DSLR + "Always-on":
However, I have the impression that the manufacturers of these backpacks always "forget" the lens hoods because the space provided for DSLR with mounted lens falls in my opinion, very narrow.
Without Geli (like the pictures on the manufacturer) of the space is sufficient, but with Geli is cramped and I want to have every even the Geli choose under any circumstances and assemble. I want rausholen the DSLR and can start right away.
When 600D with 24-105mm L lens incl patch Geli still works just like this.
Here you have two options:
- Either to set the Geli ready on the lens and then has some problems when stowing the DSLR
- Or it is the Geli flipped on the lens and then it happens that the tube of the lens when removing always extends something that certainly does not offer the best solution in the long run.
Furthermore offers the backpack where the body of the DSLR will place too much space. The DSLR is not sitting "quiet" at the point where they are lying, but it moves you at every step. The Body "sags downwards" and the objective is "pushed" upwards through leverage. (See Figure 8)
Optimally I do not think that. But if you simply put something under the Cam, then it may be nothing more than for example a micro-fiber cloth and this then disabled again quickly remove and pack the DSLR, there or two more steps are required, namely the previous found the Micofasertuchs and again fooled. I actually have it do not feel like. It would be nice here another separate compartment with Velcro, which is variable in height and can thus be adapted to the body.
Not perfect, the openings. The side are still in order, but the frontal opening does not go far enough on the zipper ends almost too early, thus "kink" is always something, and thus squeezes the stowed inside accessories. In addition, the tray is characterized repeatedly by itself to that annoying a little.
But overall you have to say: It works and I have experienced it wesendlich worse.
2.) Place in the other subjects:
So the other compartments in the backpack for additional lenses, etc. are well done in my opinion, however, as provided by the lens mounted, which takes away more space, the other fields are also somewhat narrower. This is also not ideal, but does not bother because they still provide enough space.
It is nice that the Speedlite in the protective covering in depth completely fits in and thus does not take away a lot of space.
With my current equipment I'm taking the entire interior space. But I still wanted room for a telephoto and wide-angle lens .. So a specialist, where now all small accessories in it that I can still get empty by I distribute the accessories in the side pockets and the upper tray - while not perfect but would go.
Thus I would have room for the 70-200mm 2.8er L lens, but not for the wide-angle. This absolutely does not please me, because the 17-55mm lens is indeed "covered" by the 24-105mm but fovourisiert for interior shots of me, because it is brighter and quite a bit more to offer wide angle. Say: I do not want to do without it actually.
It therefore remains to say that the backpack is actually too small for my request, but me no other backpack is known the above still has a large compartment so beautiful and would provide more space for accessories below than this ?! Unless one uses these huge Klopper of backpack, but I do not want to, because somewhere is also in the external dimensions of the whole remain in the frame.
Therefore, We check the other points if I can take this compromise, possibly on a wide-angle (first) to refrain ?!
3.) The top compartment:
The upper compartment provides plenty of space. I was expecting much less. (See Figure 3)
Even after I had in mind, I thought that there never fit inside the bottles, let alone two. But I was taught. Both bottles fit in and there is still plenty of room for wallet, cell phone, sandwich, a thin jacket and worst case for yet another objective ?!
(See pictures 10 + 11)
Overall, I am more than satisfied with the upper compartment that the "bottom" is simply attached with velcro I emfinde not a disadvantage. (See Figure 4) So you're at least still flexible when it matters.
4.) The support for the tripod:
So the tripod mount I find quite disappointing because I expected better. Because the tripod I use is already one of the smallest and lightest ... Below is a walk from one stand pure and above it is then secured with a loop, this loop is not resizable - pity. I think that this could lead to the problem in which one or other tripod.
Overall, the support works, but I have promised me more ..
5.) The comfort and the whole brackets:
The backpack can be worn well, he adapts well and man can adjust the gear loops, and the bracket on the chest and stomach area and adapt well. However, the tapes MUCH, MUCH, MUCH too long.
There could have been cut without problems, now it dangling around, or you have to fix.
For this, however, the backpack provides an excellent opportunity all risers stow in back cushion, so that not rumbaumelt when the backpack stands in the corner. You can wear it then to the loop on top, like a suitcase.
Unfortunately, the backpack has no "ventilation" on the back, but is almost flat on, thus a heavy sweating can not be prevented. That would be better!
Scoring:
+ Plenty of space in the top compartment
+ Well padded
+ Variably adjustable compartments
+ Well-carrying system
+ Quite a lot of space for photo accessories
+ Rain Cover
o too long straps
o Tripod mount could cause problems
- In the design Forgot the Lens Hood ?!
- "Sagging" of the DSLR Bodies
- Price
Overall, I forgive 4 stars because the backpack is very well made and has a lot of space, but not the perfect solution. If one were to consider the "problem" with the lens hood yet, and above all the "sagging DSLR Body" with, then I would give it 5 stars.
I think, however, that the backpack many 5 star would forgive because my negatives possibly not so much worthy to be with you, because the backpack also offers many advantages.
Overall, it's worth a recommendation and therefore can be estimated in advance whether he I also matches our own requirements wrote this report in great detail and made many images of things that have been missing when searching the Internet to other seekers the decision to facilitate.
