I have two pieces of Panasonic reingetan NCR18650B batteries and leave the lamp with a Kowalski Speed 620 and against a Scubapro LED lamp compete.
The results in brief:
- The brightness of the real power is higher than that of the Kowalski;
The Subapro is far behind (Werrte gemessem the spot in 1600, 1100, 460 Lux)
- The light distribution at the real power is slightly wider than that of the Kowalski
Scubapro again significantly worse
- Color warm at Kowalski; equal bluish in the LED lamps
- Operating time at maximum power until the shutdown:
Kowalski with new batteries about 45-50 minutes
The Real Power managed 70 minutes.
The Scubapro burns for hours, was therefore not precisely measured.
Conclusion:
Of the light output leads forth clearly the real power, only in the color of light that Kowalski is still superior.
If now is given more durability, unfortunately no longer speak much for a quality diving torch.
The Real Power costs with two good battery and a matching charger 90; Kowalski was several years ago at about 250th
The Scubapro is at best by as a backup lamp. For it speaks only of the fact that she felt with a battery pack lights forever.
A disadvantage has the real power still: The shutdown at the Kowalski takes place as with any "correct" light with warning, ie the light flashes three times to light and a red LED indicates low battery level on. On this convenience, unfortunately you have to dispense with the real power. Here the shutdown without warning is only through the integrated into the battery discharge protection. At night dives significantly over 1H you should turn down the lamp as a precaution something ;-)
