Asus has done a great job on this side hardware card, which is very powerful and you can deliver a great sound ... if you get to the set! Polite and go straight to the point, I have never encountered such problems to install a component. The drivers provided for Windows 7 (identical to those on the Asus site findable) were unable to install properly, from planting to not find the card (while Windows recognized it well in devices). Even a Safe Mode installation went wrong. Browsing the net and forums, I come across drivers made by a community of fans, and here finally: it works much better than the Asus official! (Look Unified Xonar Drivers). Used with a 5.1 Logitech Z906, I had to go through the analog output (not digital), leaving the decoding to the sound card care (although I would have preferred that the Z906 makes decoding), simply because: Failed to set the output sound in 5.1 digital (although I had no problems with a Creative X-Fi Sound Blaster 5.1 ...) In short, semi disappointment, here I am with a good sound, not necessarily the connection that I wanted, and a lot of (loss) adjustment time.
