It feels Merino typical of, many finds it slightly scratchy, but I would not describe the way and had in running with jacket over the impression, no trace of the shirt. It is a little wetter than artificial fibers, but it dries in a short time. Even washing the evening and drying overnight was never a problem.
For direct use under a heavy trekking pack I would over time fear wear because the material is in accordance with the purpose very thin (150g / m2). After 6 days of use in the mountains, but I can find nothing like that yet. In warm weather, I wear the shirt without further layers above and was thus well tempered. :)
Icebreaker gets with me the privilege because of the good ecological profile.
