Review:
I chose based on the reviews and div. Of positive tests by Computerzeitschiften for buying this cooler. Was decisive for me in choosing an easy installation and the volume of the fan.
Installation:
The installation on Socket 1155 was really ultralight. Mainboard can stay inside.
First, I have the boxed cooler away and removed the old thermal grease from the CPU. Then only used by the very good short instructions for the Freezer 13 the frame around the CPU. Here I noticed only negative is that the plug-in system, which had already assembled for mounting on board Tiller. Actually not the intention and also described differently in the instructions. So it was not particularly difficult to install the frame, but it bothered a bit and was not simply thought out.
Next, I have separated the fan from the heat sink. Simply pry with a screwdriver and remove. No Problem. The heatsink itself has already applied thermal paste. So you do not smear even the CPU. :) Then simply place the heatsink on the frame and tighten the screws. The screws should be previously stuck into the holes of the heat sink and then carefully fit it to the frame and tighten, otherwise it may happen that a bolt slips under the radiator and you have to remove it again. Then of course a manual application of thermal paste is necessary. (You should have ready some paste precaution, if the first installation was supposed to go wrong. But if I did not happen. It was really very simple.
Power and volume:

Target CPU Temp: 55 ° C
... Adjusted.
The boxed cooler I had in idle mode a temp of about 44 ° C, the Freezer 13 brings ca.37 ° C, ie 7 ° C less in idle.
Under full load at gaming (with Zotac Geforce GTX 295 Single PCB) I received with the boxed cooler a temp of about 70 ° C. By the Freezer 13 he holds with above settings a clean temp of not more than 51 ° C, so a full 20 ° C less at full load.
And the best thing is that the cooler is really hard to hear.
I previously had a Scythe Samurai ZZ and was rather disappointed, but this cooler is simply outstanding, so I decided to let me here a review.
