+ First impression:
In my opinion, the dimmer some acts "chunky", but perhaps this is deceptive even through the frame, because the button is right in itself. Not too big, make it look too bold, but not too small that you can not turn it.
The knob can be super pure press gently. No Haker or whatever. I like it very much.
The scroll wheel is for my taste a little too "slippery". It just turns to good.
I have not tested it enough, but probably you have the dimmer a little careful that you do not adjust the knob when finished push accidentally / twisted.
Is not in itself a bad thing, one can turn back again, but theoretically one might indeed come into the room and the proper brightness from the start without having to adjust afterwards still around.
The material makes no siginificant.
Seems to be a cheap, soft plastic housing.
Nevertheless, there are no deductions, because you simply can expect nothing better at this price.
I like the look (even if it looks easy to me personally too bold) and I also like the processing (at least I have it only approximately 11 paid)
+ Installation:
I must admit it is virtually impossible without assistance to detach the knob from the housing.
Have I tried, with still so much power. Unable to withdraw him.
I probably would have gotten him, but then would certainly be something broken.
Using a thin slot screwdriver and a little levers we went to destroy something wonderful and especially without fears.
It took less than 5 seconds and the button was off.
Since I do not have much knowledge of the matter, I can connect the dimmer from a friend (a qualified electrician).
He could not explain to himself as an allegedly "certified electrician" failed to read the signs on the dimmer. There were the usual signs indicated on the dimmer, which has otherwise each x-any device well.
I think with a little respect craftsmanship and research. The connections should any layman can connect this dimmer. Although I can install the dimmer from a friend. Had me there but myself to dare. But I wanted to catch up by an expert nor technical know-how.
+ Function:
The dimmer now sits beautifully in its socket and does exactly what it should.
Once press the button and the light goes on. Using the jog dial can now regulate the brightness. From very light to ... you'd think ... "from".
Of interest:
The dimmer is completely silent.
I have not even had in many Andren expensive dimmers. Unique PLUS!
+ Downgrade
Firstly, as already mentioned above, the wheel could be a bit sluggish.
On the other hand, can the dimmer only as "half" and push in the light then passes already, but the button does not engage another at this point. That is, once you then again your finger down takes the light out again.
No great things, but such trifles simply reflect the quality.
+ Buy recommendation?
DEFINITELY ... I have considered whether I still need more dimmers. ;-)
But for now it is enough for now.
Value for money is unbeatable here.
I hope the long-term test is also satisfied me.
