On a positive mention to the hard disk that this / s with USB 3.0 enables a data transfer rate of 100 MB for an extended period. So move data goes Razz Fazz (I use an Alienware M14xR2 with 256GB Samsung SSD 840 Evo as a data source) The hard disk is also hardly warm and is inaudible. Vibrations are noticeable but not louder or more than any other hard drives as well.
Now for negativity:
Both disks have given up the ghost within a very short time and now hanging on an old Linux box for data recovery with ddrescue. The SMART values of both disks show a high number of bad sectors on the outer edge of the plates. Reading works very slowly and only because I have noticed in time that there is something wrong.
The hard disk on the TV was not at all moved, whereas the hard drive was always carried around on a laptop.
I suppose it is a bad batch that was produced in June / July last year. So always think of a second backup to another hard drive from a different manufacturer!
For the poor quality 2 star deduction, but there again plus 1 star for the super good speed.
