YES, the flash works in theory with any Funkauslöser who has an ISO flash shoe (whether for Canon or Nikon).
But as the foot of the flash is a little longer because of the Sony-contacts, the flash does not go far enough to push into the shoe, so that the trip contact is by lightning above the trigger.
I manage myself here previously successful with a small piece of folded aluminum foil. This is a bit fiddly, but works for me always at the latest on the second try (or at the very latest after a maximum of 2 min).
Others have created either before the shoe accommodate the longer foot or tries to shift the trip contact on the trigger to the rear (with a Dremel for example).
But here are neither Metz nor Yongnuo guilt but Sony. This should have been able to solve otherwise.
Perhaps there is some point a remote trigger for the new Sony "ISO" -Blitzschuh ...
