I have long with the theme headset employs some headphones and listening test. Bin then stuck DT770 Pro finally the Beyerdynamic. The compared Sennheiser models were the sound good - but told me "do not like the process (much plastic) and Made in China As one of the sound itself is like always subjective (only helps Preview)..
First you have to think if you want an open or closed headphones. As I listen to music while my wife Rosamunde Pilcher "looks like came to me just a closed headphone in question. So we disturb each other not ;-) why the DT 770. Open headphones have noise penetrate to the outside. You also hear noises from itself around.
The source is 80% my 15 year old Denon 20Bit CD player with built-in headphone jack. In my opinion, the most natural way to hear music. 20% I hear about an Onkyo Dolby Surround amplifier while watching TV late at night. Source Kathrein digital receiver.

Sound blew me consistently. Very detailed resolution. Very soft comfortable sound. If you can make eyes at Bruce Springsteen Live does it feel like when you're right in the middle there. In Miachel Buble can hear each instrument out (Goosebumps guaranteed)
In general, the KH is for my taste not bassy (there are people who say that). However, the amplifier has a neutral setting to choose (Source Direct "or pure"). Rather, the bass - is as it should be available and, depending on the piece of music abysmally. In some other headphones, the bass is virtually absent or sounds tortured.
The headset plays always loose and without losing airy brilliance even at higher volumes.
Tragekonfort is good, the pressure in spite of my big head in order. KH does not press. For me, very convenient to carry.
Processing is super. The bracket is made of metal and the cable connections are made to last. Made in Germany.
Cable is a spiral cable and 3m long. From 1.5-2m, there are quite a train on the headphones. I did that and it did not bother me. Need eh a 3m extension (please into the extension cord does not save - my 3m long cable has cost 30 euros.)
Topic 250 or 80 Ohm:
There are good tips on the Beyerdynamik website at the FAQ. The 80 Ohm version is recommended for use on mobile players, playing louder. The sound of the 250 ohm version should be more balanced. Here it comes now a matter of what source is used and must be as loud headphones. I have my 250 Ohm KH just for fun connected to my iPhone. The full volume corresponds to about 50% of my Denon CD player. For me completely sufficient.
