The machine is much quieter than the old. Thus being probably that the younger models are all a bit quieter. The volume will of course vary depending on the spin speed, but the program Mix-40 (for normal Cottons, mixed fabrics) is so quiet that you hardly hear in the next room.
I was very happy about the many programs. Although you have to read first time and get used to the operation, but that's what happens with new things. There is a hand wash feature that I find, for example, great for sensitive underwear. There is also an Eco function. What is also in the instructions, the machine regulates in this program according to the amount, the time and the amount of water. We have the machine in the kitchen under the countertop and therefore it was necessary to cover unscrew to get the machine underneath. This was fortunately super easy. You had to turn back just two screws.
