My real reason to buy this monitor, however, was that these NVIDIA 3D Vision is ready. Again, I believe the monitor at full level! The 3D representation is exaggerated good! The Nvidia Light Boost technology brightens the display when playing with 3D content, so that will be lost in dark Play any details and the image convinced. I've never Games with such a 3D Teife played like on this monitor.
What I find not so good on this device, the Asus Splendid color settings "landscape mode", "Standard Mode", "Theater Mode", "Play Mode", "Night mode", and "sRGB". None of these settings could convince me. Either the colors were too gaudy or white and black levels were too weak.
After some trial and error, I then calibrating and yet found the proper settings. For those who are still searching, here are my settings:
Night mode (as it apparently only it has the perfect gamma of 2.2)
Brightness: 50
Contrast: 70
Saturation: 50
Color Temperature: red 99, green 95, blue 85
Skin tone: Of course
SmartView: from
Sharpness: 40
Trace Free: 80
ASCR: a
With these settings, you can see the ones when you look at a test pattern for light and shade differentiation.
Brightness and saturation is a matter of taste. There are certainly some who want it rather slightly darker or brighter, or more vivid colors or less saturated colors.
A buy recommendation can I say to all those who seek a really good monitor for playing video games, as this is truly enormous reaction strongly and quickly.
Also a buy recommendation for which 3D content (be it games, movies or images) want to play using Nvidia 3D Vision 2.
