- Normal size (ie no 'Notebook Mouse' more because I my laptop after graduation almost exclusively at home use)
- At least 1 side button that I use when browsing always for BackBrowse bzw.um jump back to the parent folder
- Very high DPI (I do not need a DPI value of 2000 for gaming, but for working 800-1000 reasonably accurate should do the trick)
- Wireless Mouse ... who once had ne mouse without cable who wants never again ne wired mouse :-)
Because Microsoft has almost no mouse in the current offer at the moment, which meets these 4 criteria, my choice has quickly limited to the Logitech M510 and M560 Logitech. Since my M560 by Design (in white) has better fallen fell my choice on it. Had I previously informed for the mouse wheel, which does not allow a 'middle click'. But since I never use the mouse wheel as a middle mouse button, this was not a KO criterion for me. Also was known to me that I need to reconfigure the page keys only with the Logitech SetPoint software, to obtain the desired function (Go to previous page).
My conclusion after about 2 months:
Fits very well in my large hand. Control is also very accurate ... but if you installed the Setpoint software, should there in the 'game settings' (that is misleading not only apply to games but also for the normal Windows), at 'speed and acceleration' remove the tick at 'operating system settings maintained'. Otherwise it could happen that the pointer movements are hyper fast and the pointer moves in a flash even the slightest movement ... because he is to be accelerated by 2 drivers, Logitech and Windows mouse driver.
Wireless connection well, no interruptions. Battery should last up to 18 months (it does far :-)).
Both the surface of the mouse and the rubberized side panels of mice rub off after a short time. This Abfärbeproblem I had so far in each mouse, but not after such a short period of time. While it does not diminish the functionality, but looks ugly, so 1 star deduction.
Another problem is that when you press the left button, sometimes at the same time down the right both keys is as interconnected by the casing ago. At the beginning of this phenomenon VERY OFTEN occurred, so that I was about to return the mouse. Only a slightly shifted hand position or human error and concentration when you click could prevent these 'simultaneous click'. I do not exclude that this problem comes from the shape of my hand or hand position, but I have read in some reviews this issue (also on the US Amazon site), so I'm not the only one with it. Meanwhile, I have this problem, so that a 'simultaneous clicking' triggered largely under control in only about 5% of the clicks .... still not optimal. Even this 1 star deduction.
Although I am generally satisfied with mouse would probably buy again (as mentioned above there for my needs very few alternatives), but I would have expected from a Logitech mouse more. In particular, the problems with the simultaneous clicking and the setoff of the surface have surprised me with a renowned provider of input devices such as Logitech.
