Super on the go and easily. Compared to Macbook Air a couple of caveats.

After I made my MacBook Pro broken due to water damage, I was looking for a new, low-cost compared to Apple and especially lightweight laptop. I use it are one week and here important points that you have to make you aware of before buying:

Plus:
-The Color "gold" is a beautiful, subtle rosé gold. Depending on how the light falls, it seems just silver with a darker tone.
-The Weight (1.2kg) is really wonderful for travel and transport, for the university.
-There Are 3 USB ports, SD card, mini-HDMI, headphone. Positive compared to the Macbook Air.
- The display is clear and can provide very bright, however annoying the automatic light sensor, I put the same times from.
-The keys write very soft and comfortable. The missing keyboard lighting does not bother me.

Minus:
-You Should not buy this Zenbook if you want very good sound quality. The speakers are really bad. You have to create a slightly pleasant sound first manually balance the entire bass / treble. To watch series, it is sufficient, but not for music to fill a room. Therefore 1 star deduction.
- The touchpad! Although very insensitive, click with only touch of the finger works, but scrolling is a disaster. I use just one Wireless Mini Mouse, because it is impossible to work with the touchpad. A big minus for those who like to work with a touchpad and therefore there was the 1 star deduction.
- The Zenbook comes without the Microsoft Office suite (had me in front unaware)
- Maybe it's a matter of habit, but compared to Apple in terms of user experience / usability of Sound and touchpad the Zenbook can not keep long. For people who are "just" a light, beautiful Laptop want and do not have very high expectations when it comes to Sound / touchpad, the Zenbook is the right choice.
