I have several of these USB extensions in use and could not yet see anything negative. My external hard drives (Western Digital) have no noticeable loss of speed. Furthermore, I use Logitech USB boxes, which as usual for notebook equipment, have a very short USB cable. In another 0815-USB extensions I had often sound dropouts, with this extension, however, it works beautifully.
It works absolutely perfectly, at an unbeatable price. What more do you want.
