The product is built very solid and is simple to operate. The voltage converter is built into the device, which is why the supply via a 230 V cable of type C7 / C8 is performed (2 holes, no grounding). This makes the charger thicker, but it has nowhere a power supply are housed. Front there are 5 USB ports (1.0A - 1.0A - 1.2A - 2.4A - 2.4A). So if you want to charge your iPad, you should definitely take the two right so that it boots fast enough. Contrary to my earlier belief, the iPad can not simply draw 2.1A from a 1.0 A and thus cause overheating. So dangerous is nothing here, only the charging time of the iPad would be incredibly slow, which is why you should look at the labels of the ports. What is a plus at the same time, because the ports are all labeled so that they do not have to memorize remember but can always look right. The store is functioning properly. My iPad has been loaded in the normal 56 hours and shall has no problems.
I find it rather a shame that there is only chargers that have the connection back. Actually I wanted to push it all the way back at the table, but that is not because I would otherwise twisting the power cord. It should definitely be a variant in which the connector is on the side or the cable a lot thinner and not so tight (clear, is also a 230 V cable). But that complain on the highest level and is just a small suggestion that one could implement.
One point that still so often bothers me: I'm still relatively young, and hear of power supplies buzz / beep / whimpering, as one might call it whatsoever. With this charger, I can not hear anything, which is very good! However, I hear from time to time a whistling sound when I boot my iPad and iPad display anmache. In idle or when I load the iPad with display off, I hear nothing. To me, that's fine, because I usually charge it at night and while it is not used. Important to me was that I can sleep in peace without hearing a beep.
Furthermore, there is a blue LED that indicates that the charger is plugged in. In my view, it is indeed convenient, but in a dark room at night bothers you. I've taped with a strip black electrical tape, but in the dark you can still see a slight glow that comes from the USB ports. Too bad that this can not turn off, but I can live with.
Now the power consumption: In idle it takes 0.6 W, which I find quite a bit. 0.1 W would be expected. It takes about half a watt when not in use. Is not the doomsday, but interesting nonetheless. When charging the iPad Air 2 of 2.4 A port provides approximately 13.2 W (measured value - Idlewert = 13.2 W, ie 13.8 W - 0.6 W = 13.2 W). So basically what I 12 W Apple PSU also fair by. No advantage here, but also a disadvantage (especially for those who may be only a 10 W power supply have).
Conclusion: For the price, it is certainly unbeatable. Now I can finally recharge my USB device without having to use adapters thousand. There is no buzzing, except in special cases that do not bother me. The power consumption in idle is a little high, but the current edition perfectly. The blue LED lights can not be disabled, only partially masking, in which case it is still on of the USB ports. Furthermore, the power cord is just very tight and can not be so well laid, but the power supply is integrated. As an Apple adapter eg 1020 and will cost you 5 theoretically replace them, saves this charger definitely money and, on the whole, I give 4.5 stars so rounded up 5)
