I am delighted with this purchase. I coupled with 2 Seagate drives for NAS. The default config is great and very easy to modify. There are many add-on (with a little too much pub as some are obviously paying) but the basic services are there and work wonderfully. Personally, I recommend the product. The discs are default RAID 1 and reconstruction starts from the launch of the device. Sharing in Windows (8) could not be simpler. I also use it to stream movies and music to a WD TV Live (with possibility of restricted access based on the user). Simply brilliant!
