But to the point:
I was looking for a smartphone pocketable which I want primarily to make phone calls and use SMS and every now and then for a little Internet. It should also reflect a navigation software that preferably also works offline, be on board. The whole thing should ultimately no more than 150 free and thus I am to some research, the Lumina 620 hängengebielben.
In short, I'm thrilled.
I had in advance a certain amount of skepticism because of the Windows operating system, but just happened that proved later for my needs as the right choice.
Clear, uncluttered, functional and intuitive to use offers the Lumina 620 everything you need and a little more.
If you like, but do not want to put so much money on an IOS-powered phone on the table, the partially quite playful and nested Andriod not, is served right here.
May not offer Windows Phone 8 just two million apps downloaded, the selection is slightly smaller than eg. with Android, but all the more meaningful for my taste. Missing one should hardly anything.
The switch to Windows Phone is not difficult and should be completed within two evenings gimmick on mobile.
Nokia provides traditionally a well-functioning, free offline (!) Navigation with, the Lumina 620 global maps are pre-installed. For me what a major selling point. What struck me immediately: GPS has been improved tremendously compared to older devices, within a few seconds is the satellite link.
The display offers vibrant colors, the touch screen responds accurately and is running smoothly. The phone has a flawless voice quality, of course, precisely this point is always something pending from the reception and from the device at the other end of the line. Basically, can be found here but nothing to complain about.
For camera:
5MP are no longer the rage, but loose enough for snapshots from. Of course, there's an LED flash and a video function. Often you read in the reviews of blurred, blurred images. People who keep quiet camera, it will get even what with the pictures. This experience I did, anyway.
Battery performance:
Of course you can the battery within a few hours empty play, no question.
With my usage profile, two or three Gepräche a day, a couple of SMS maybe check email and look at the weather, the battery lasts loose for 3 days. However I unlock all additional features such as data connection, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS only when needed and have reduced the connection speed for normal phone operation on 2G.
A little criticism there anyway:
The included in-ear headphones can be safely disposed of the same, which are good for nothing. And then would be the widely criticized volume control that lets you mute the phone and then in the morning, of course, the alarm clock does not stop, because all sounds are equal with off if you have not adjusted back again. This is used to.
All in all I give the Lumina 620 still 5 stars because the price-performance ratio (currently for about 140-160) is properly and the device thus a real recommendation.
Another tip:
It is a micro-SIM requires, however, you do not necessarily ask its providers to the delivery of such a SIM card, and possibly even pay money for it. There are the net Zuschneideschablonen with which one can tinker from a normal SIM card, a micro-SIM in no time, provided some care and attention.
Alternative: Each electronics market punches as service when buying the phone your SIM card to Micro SIM that then takes exactly one second.
