Enjoyed my N5 ordered (in white) directly 20 minutes after the publication in the play goals (purely by chance when I was on the train on the way and have read that Google has introduced without tam tam the N5).
Since Tuesday, the 05.11.2013 is now with me in action
Design, workmanship, handling:
+++ Top, very clean processed. Design Personally I like very well (back in white), and front pages in black). N5 is great in the hand, can be top use even with one hand.
Screen:
+++ 5 inch Full HD, high luminosity, the content will be shown correctly crisp (had so far in my Grade 2 and Blackberry Z10 only HD resolution and have to say that there is quite a difference). Overall, the window viewing makes a very good impression on me.
Android System / Speed:
+++ One of the reasons why I have now decided for Nexus device is that they are always immediately updated to the latest Android version (which is the case, unfortunately, many manufacturers). However, this means that the OS is naked speaks without Launcher. But for me is not so bad, because there are some very good launcher in PlayStore with which the N5 can be nicely personalized. Very good, I like the speech recognition. Works great now and I can save myself the time for typing.
+++ Speed is top. No Rückler nothing. Is simply fun. The apps open at once, the browser works beautifully. I use the N5 in conjunction with an LTE contract and have to say that the speed just makes traveling fun (do not misunderstand other LTE enabled smartphones also offer the pace, I mean here the combination of LTE + Hardware Power = smoothest scrolling in one device of 399 euros will cost).
Photos / Videos:
++ The Fotoqualiät itself is very good. But what (have read that it is still on the software and Google is working on an update) is not as good works the focus. Here are some pictures right out of focus. Otherwise a really good camera meets the needs of my completely.
What I like about the right of the advanced photo editor ('m on it until a CNET podcast draufgekommen). Really good. Anyone can very quickly change the photos great.
+++ Video recording works great. Here I can not fault. And I would note that the grade 3 (co-worker of mine has a) video recording in 4K quality offers (However, I wonder where the value added there is as long as I have no 4K screen.
Battery:
++ 2300 sounds nowadays not much (especially in the extremely high-performance technology innendrin). Fortunately, this technology but also the resources Andriod is also correspondingly gentle and 4.4 (KitKat) contributes to good for me Battery life. I use the N5 now for 6 days and am today (20 clock), for example, after a day of intensive use (30 minutes of full HD movie watched, heard music, some phone calls, several times what a web search, etc.) at 35% remaining battery. Which is great for me. I have also almost never managed with my touch get through 2 2 full days so it fits here.
I welcome the charging time. For me, the battery is just under 2 hours to 100% load (of quasi 0%).
Memory:
++ I opted for the 32GB variant. With some games, podcasts, music collection and a few films, the memory fills relatively quickly. With me about 2GB are free at the time.
The difference in price of 50 euros for 16 GB more storage is worthwhile in my opinion allermal. But here everyone should decide for themselves how many games, music, podcasts, etc. He always wants to have this.
Yes the SD card slot is missing (hence only 2 star), but at 32 GB I can get over it quite well.
Other:
I have a great case for 10 euros! purchased (see:; show Viewpoints = 1)
Also can the Nexus 5 wirelessly charge (very handy but takes a little longer)
Conclusion: I am more than happy with the Nexus 5. For the price (I speak of the 399 euros in PlayStore) a top product with the best technology currently (Snapdragon Adreno 800 + 330 is already a force in the network there is now sufficient Videos the Power of N5, especially in games, clearly show) that is to have on the market.
Strong buy recommendation
PS
I'm still trying reinzustellen a video in the next few days to the performance of the N5 to show live
Cheers
