In my opinion, a brilliant price / performance ratio, because everything is just right:
- Very small package, high quality and unobtrusive appearance
- External power adapter, which is barely warm and very little power is eating (during playback measured only 5 Watt)
- Easy setup: It automatically provides a WiFi Access Point, which allows the binding of the own wireless network via a web page. Even after power loss forgets the AD7000W not the settings.
- No latencies to a locally reproduced in iTunes song, perfect for multi-room audio.
- Quite balanced and dynamic sound, personal equalizer configurations are possible on iOS app.
- Is also lower frequencies up to a certain limit again acceptable, in my opinion better than a Squeezebox Boom. (Eg by Marlene H.Grönemeyer just about acceptable, but is also rel. In common because the bass between 30 Hz and 80 Hz is, guess useful is the AD7000W from about 60Hz)
- More than adequate power handling (based on the size)
- Good iOS Compatibility: For existing playback on the Fidelio a second unit reports directly "is already in use"
- Fidelio app for iOS devices to adjust the equalizer settings (all other functions are mM after unusable for EQ settings but super). The settings are stored in the device and reacted there, the iTunes equalizer is therefore not used here.
- Few (+/- volume and power) button / easy operation
- The device may simply stay on and is thus always directly as AirPlay device. But it is also possible to switch off the device. After it is turned back on, it takes about 15 seconds to the played in iTunes music automatically play back (automatically switches back to the currently playing Stream).
- A jack also allows non-Apple devices using the speaker cable (I have not yet used)
- A USB port is available to order to charge a device can (I have not yet used)
For my case, just the perfect device to a brilliant price!
With all of my devices the AD7000W works fine! These include: Macbook with iTunes 10.5.2 / PC with iTunes 10.5.2 / iPhone with iOS 5.0.1 / iPad 2 with iOS 5.0.1.
I run a WiFi network with an Apple Airport Extreme, so I have no problems!
