There is a lot to say about smoking, yet each orchid has been planted directly in this substrate after purchase and adjourned it fine, and flourished even better than before!
However, I am currently disappointed with the quality of the grain a little ...
What was initially pretty gross and large-grained, in recent 7L packagings rather fine, dusty and just too small grained (and too much sound!) -> That's great shame, because by my orchids stay too long too wet, only the species with fine roots get along with it, but some of my Phalaenopis suddenly struggling with yellow leaves and root rot ... unfortunately one goes just a even and is not due to my casting behavior!
(The earliest after 10 days!)
For me that means now to go buy extra-pure pine bark and mix it so long with Seramis and repotting plants in question again until the quality recovers.
Otherwise, really highly recommended substrate!
