Brightness:
Very well, the data seem to agree or even slightly exceeded.
Color spectrum:
Different white tones can be represented very well, so that it is comparable to halogen bulb over to fluorescent tube.
Red, Yellow, Orange, Blue and Magenta (and everything in between) can be represented very well. Green is more of a quite bright, slightly yellowish green.
It is now also the main difference between E27, Iris and Strip:
The strength of E27 Hue is the representation of the different shades of white. Here is for the weakness of the Iris & Strips. This can in turn represent the colors better and especially more intense.
This can be a weakness am betrachten.Ich anyway glad that it is because I use the E27 in such lamps, where the white light spectrum is important, eg for reading, cleaning, relaxation etc ...
Installation
The installation of bridge, app and lamps was very easy and the app is thought out and clearly. It is especially great that you can use photos as a template for the lighting design.
Behavior:
What I also like very much that these lamps light up when she turns with a light switch in a pleasant standard white. This ensures that the Altag the lighting is as usual feasible via light switch. Others may see it as a disadvantage, but I think that's a good thing!
Apps:
There are innumerable third-party apps that expand the possibilities of using enormous. My two Lieblingspapps are:
Hue Disco: if you make even a party, you can direct a kind of light organ, which adapt to very good and varied.
The app it has, however, most did to me is:
OnSwitch: With this you can slowly changing "atmospheres" create such as "Passing Clouds" or "Lush Forest". These are very realistic and you felt really, when you stand on a glade, or under the open sky with passing clouds. This is truly outstanding, looks great, is not hectic or disturbing: On the contrary.
Price:
I have back and forth about whether or not I disconnect a point for the rather salty price or not. And I have deducted a star because I think Philips builds on its pioneering role for this product already and definitely demanded exorbitant prices!
Compare Hue / Hue Lux E27:
In my view, the E27 Lux absolutely unnecessary. This can namely represent only a white tone and can be dimmed to halt. You are minimal brighter than the "normal" Hue bulb (have both in a lamp with a double version: The brightness difference is marginal and therefore I find the price for a called Lux - so a dimmable LED bulb - grossly overpriced (!).
Of course, the E27 Hue is also very expensive (without Lux) - it makes them but at least fun.
"A comprehensive approach":
To best advantage the HUE system in my opinion is due to the different strengths (white / color) only when mixing Hue E27 & Strip / Iris / Bloom. So you can really create a wonderful color-concept.
I was Hue made downright addictive and I would like to immediately replace all the bulbs to Hue and still buy Iris / Bloom / Led Strips. However, I can realize only gradually because of the price you wanted.
So 4 stars for a top product which is a bit overpriced, so a star deduction.
