A lot more bells and whistles it has not aboard. There is a warm little adjust, for ambitious photographers probably too little. Takes you a few settings with a few programs for special lighting conditions, Picture Bridge for Photo Printers and that's it. No GPS, no involvement in social media, not wireless like nothing. I do not need too.
I am a "Normalophotograph" and just want to keep it, for everything else I lack the patience, stamina and experience. I will of course like to know a good picture but I do not like this a lot of thought, adjusting and fiddling. The good image, the Sony - mostly. If the lighting conditions are right. It comes quite quickly reach their limits when it gets dark, when they met with backlight or struggling with other adversities. But if the lighting conditions are right, it takes great images - mostly. The goal should not induce too quickly, otherwise it is blurred. If autofocus ever achieves focus. What is distance dependent. The farther away, the better the object should be illuminated and the quieter it should be. If neither is the case, the autofocus maneuvered miserably off and since you can manually do not help, it is not taking pictures ....
With all this, I was expecting because it this camera class is to own a total of more or less, and therefore am actually quite satisfied. But one should be aware that one has to contend with the DSC-H300 with exactly these problems ... and must draufhalten for emergency halt several times to catch the perfect shot.
What makes up the only real problem point for me is the slowness of the image processing and the relatively long time it takes for the camera to get back to be ready for use. That really takes Felt ages. And here is (a bit in combination with the rather lame autofocus) for me then the only reason that leads to a certain discontent. For fast-moving targets from a distance (children) that Sony is largely useless. A sport mode you will not find. The continuous shooting function is also rather useless. The I know shooting functions make all images that follow one another directly, so is a most sharp and usable. Not so the Sony. The power in these situations slowly so every 10 or 15 seconds a picture - and which are for all blurred. OK, by accident can sometimes be a sharp picture there, but unfortunately it does not work really reliable ... Anyway these circumstances regularly lead when shooting a fast-moving target to the fact that the situation is over before the camera raises or sharp one just has no second try anymore because it is too slow again ready for the next shot.
Said it should be that the Sony works with standard AA batteries, which I really suit you. The flash needs to be switched manually - also that I feel personally very helpful compared to most I know models in which the one with the automatic firing the flash forced delighted - and in situations that often do not require a flash. And since one usually forgets to turn off this feature at critical moments has one usually in precisely the situations where the flash is not really necessary, inevitably overexposed images in mushy tones. Said was also that Sony is not really one of the most compact cameras, it comes from the format quite manage to connect with a DSLR. That might disturb the occasional user.
Who the issue raised by me (main) point of criticism is not so important, but can be accessed safely in the DSC-H300. At the currently asking price of around 140 EUR you can almost not go wrong when you can live in particular with the issues raised here vulnerabilities this camera type and the total spartan features of Sony.
I can largely anyway and am somewhat excited.
