This HDMI to mini HDMI adapter is used by me at my Sony camcorder to be connected to an Onkyo TX-NR515 AV Receiver. For that I have just a normal HDMI cable connected to the HDMI input 5 of Onkyo and insert the adapter as needed simply to. The gold-plated plugs optimal signal path is ensured. The connection is very stable on both sides, because nothing wobbles. Nevertheless, you should just the camcorder take care not to bring too much train on the cable so as not to damage the port.
