Initially I was a bit skeptical about this kind of support: I can my phone falls (especially since it's an iPhone 6 which I have just purchased) but finally I was pleasantly surprised: the phone does not move at all! The spring inside the grip is solid and does not move at all. The sides of the clamp are rubberized thereby even better aggriper the phone. For the price (under 7), there is no hesitation to have. The only thing that may bother are the types of air vent in your car, it should work with most but not all models.
