I had previously supposed other waterproof cameras from Olympus, but after a short time both had water damage. My expectations for the life of the Panasonic were therefore not very high.
Well, so far it has disabused me.
We lost the camera in a tour on the river. We knew roughly where it was, because it was getting darker, but we could not find her. I am the next day, approximately 24 hours later, once went there and was looking for with snorkel and fins afterwards. Much hope I have, however, not made to find them, let alone that it is still working.
After about 30 minutes I went snorkeling hear about an orange glowing object in depth about 4-5 m. Bingo! I doubt that I would have found it if they had not had their bright orange housing.
Next wow factor: Even when surfacing, I tried to turn it, and against all expectation it has started normally and was fully operational.
