Have the Standard Zoom Canon EF-S 18-55mm recently acquired here on Amazon and am thrilled. I switched from a Canon PowerShot S5 IS to a Canon EOS 40 d and wanted to experiment first with the standard zoom. Certainly I've tried not all, but already in the first test of "Mitziehern", my son and my daughter on the wave board - and thus speed technically quite slow - I have already received sharp images with beautifully flowing background. The images from the samba festival in Coburg, which I have set here, provide for really strong sunlight and partially shaded location with a focus into the light, or vice versa (images only slightly edited and cropped) tack-sharp details, even in snapshots that need to go fast , Landscapes for "Blue Hour" succeed even with relatively long exposure time thanks Bildstabi out of hand. So far I have not photographed indoors and in low light, so I can not say anything about it. So far, there with me five out of five points.
