PRO:
+ Price (again declined by about 100) very attractive
+ Material (solid and high quality)
+ Is optimally balanced in the hand (clamp quickly monierbar)
and is a "good" one kilo lightweight among the 2.8-tern
+ Provides even at F / 3.2 razor-sharp results
+ With little or much light sits focal point to be 100% accurate
(I have been - after AF adjustment per camera - only, exact focusing)
+ The colors are completely natural (perfect)
+ Vignetting virtually absent in APSC
+ CA's I have found no serious
+ Macro 1: 3 offer much more than the competitors in the vicinity
CONS:
- A bit slower and louder than my USMs (but that's no criticism)
- The contrast autofocus in Lifveview does not provide positive results
here the Tamron does not seem to be able with the K-5 (which is a point of criticism)
- And then when the camera is donating her green Help light in low-light
the autofocus begins to hunt and rarely finds a good ending.
=> Manual setting and which in turn is quite easy to create
- Not sealed => limited use or rain protection necessary
(But that's not a criticism and I was aware of when buying)
If you do not want in very dim light (without flash) or in the rain (without cover) or a hockey tournament photograph (in the front row), this lens is the perfect choice for cost-conscious wallet. I for one will not give the 70-200 as soon;)
