I bought and installed for my computer without connecting the USB3 USB3 card. After installing the driver, the card worked well immediately and I have speeds of up to 250MB / s measured (external USB3 disk to internal SSD). However, the card is slightly inclined, which makes it difficult to insert a cable in 2 of the 4 ports. This seems to me on the design of the card and not to lie on my case, for me is not so tragic, as I have always permanently plugged a cable in the two terminals.
