Now the device: I had ordered this from Amazon and was casually yet still be able to compare more taken around the two with MM and got me a Pioneer car radio for 10. It occurred to me one very clear: while the Pioneer that felt very valuable, the Sony device of very low-grade plastic and processing appeared to be. The buttons of the Pioneers were of a rather soft, slightly rubbery plastic with good tactile feedback. Also, the knob was significantly heavier and felt high quality of (steel?). By contrast, the quality and workmanship of the buttons / keys on the Sony's is a complete disappointment !!! And I do not think that there is less to 10. So this was a thick Contra!
However, what spoke for Sony and has ultimately made the difference was that I could not see the Pioneer which features are supported. More specifically, the Navi feature of Sony's I really promised, because I use my smartphone as a navigation system. When the smartphone (Samsung S3) coupled via Bluetooth using the Sony, you can play music and let further run the Navi. Then, when a message is performed, the music is briefly interrupted and you hear the announcement over the normal car speakers. This feature was not explicitly mentioned as I said at the Pioneer, otherwise I would have probably preferred this.
Other things that annoy me when Sony: The menus and settings are very very complicated and far from intuitive (of squiggling menu to abbreviations that could pretty much mean anything ...). I am technically actually pretty fit, but had to good 30-45min with the manual set the car adjust to everything.
And the operation while driving is really complicated and correspondingly dangerous! Especially in the dark. Here shine with me only the numbers on the keys (ie 1-6 + AF / TA DSPL) and it is not to recognize where there is, for example, shuffle or pause. That probably just have to remember them then ...
The two colors can be set in contrast to the one from Pioneer - paid. As in all BMWs ads are always kept in orange-red, I also have the radio set to that color ... think otherwise it acts even cheaper ...
Other than that I have to say that the radio reception is not good for me, unfortunately, but it may be that it also reflects a setting here that was hidden from me so far ...
USB output fit! One has the choice between shuffle device, album, etc. Unfortunately -interpret but only the lowest levels of folders.
Example: Why did my USB Flash Drive (32GB) configured as follows: Top Level -> folder [Rock], [Classic], [Jazz] etc .; next level [Artist] and then another level [Album]. So I can not, for example, specify that only in the [rock] the shuffle is active, but only at the lowest level, ie [Album] or maintenance over the entire memory.
For AUX and CD I can not say anything because I have not tried this, but I should think everything work well and are displayed when the CD on the relevant information, ie tags,.

However, I must also say that I did not before every ride lust have to activate on my phone and Bluetooth Remote app, if I just going to go or something to load. Then initializing takes almost longer than the ride ...
