I just finished "The Perfect Storm" and I must say that I was blown away by history. Of course the novel form a little surprising at first (in the form of scenarios) but that does not stop to dive quickly into history. Besides, contrary to what another reviewer said below, the staging of the novel as acts as a play does not detract or suspense or terror, or the interest of the history .. It is rather the opposite: the camera zooms and descriptions associated with different places (the waves crashing against the pier, the sea that floods the lighthouse, Martha Clarendon's body lying in the hall of his house as night falls slowly ...) all adds to ambient terror, and there is no one more talented than Stephen King to create an atmosphere of terror that makes us shudder every page . It is energized from the beginning to the end. In summary, there is nothing to throw in this novel, and although I had suspected a little after the story (the author makes much of some characters or elements to the beginning of the book which puts us a little on the way), the suspense is carefully maintained to the end. Besides I loved the end, especially the latest pages, in my opinion, reach the pinnacle of horror. Read and reread ..
