A story there is not really. The game starts with a birthday party and you get a Ferrari given. After the first few meters an outdated but a reality and it is found that the character has only dreamed of and it's his job to park the cars of the rich and famous. You meet a woman who helps a to enter the racing scene. It begins the story of rags to riches.
Basically, there are 3 classes. Offroad, asphalt and classical. For this you have to take exams in order to obtain racing licenses. Only then can you take part in the championships. These are divided into several events. Races from A to B, circuit races, time trials, elimination race '
The islands of Ibiza and Hawaii offer enough space for cruising and it takes quite a bit until you have every last corner explored.
Graphically TDU2 is definitely not up to date, but I think the bigger picture is quite appealing. Reloading textures are unfortunately become in Open World Games a habit and so also here Poppen trees on visible and textures are partly charged rather late. In my opinion you can other racing games but only conditionally take as a reference. While games like NFS Hot Pursiut and Gran Turismo 5 look much better, yet we must not forget that only the racetracks are loaded. In Hot Pursiut although it is also possible free to drive in the game world that looks better, but is just not nearly as large.
The control of the car, I find actually quite succeeded. I do not understand why some have so many problems with it. Knowing the boundary of the car with which one is on the way, curves are no challenge.
In the camera settings you have the usual choices. Followers Camera (3rd person), bumper, hood and cockpit. In the cockpit view I noticed positively that the camera in curves easily rotates, whereby one has a better view. So I manage to even, not hanging on every car or shield to stay, even though I do not get in other racing games with the cockpit perspective cope.
As a nice touch, you can make the window up and down, turn indicators and with top and open and close at these cars. In addition, you can take look around at car dealerships in every car space and make a test drive. So the car buying is fun '
Similar to GTA there is also a radio. Unfortunately, there are only 2 channels which I think is very unfortunate. You sit anyway most of the time in the car and thus it can quickly render a annoys the music, because you've heard the songs has often. Since one has really the GTA series should take as a model. Basically, I find the soundtrack but very good and suits the feeling that is to be conveyed through the game.
The design of the character is etwas'naja we call it detailarm which moves wooden and the German dubbing as bad in so many games. Luckily, you can change the options in the language and at least in English sounds the whole then it better. Even someone who does not have good English skills, is likely to have no problems, because really like everything is so well self-explanatory.
What can you do in TDU2 yet? You can dress up your character new to miss a new hairstyle and even send him to the plastic surgeon. Real Estate want to buy and refurbished (the possibilities are there relatively limited) and the car can be repainted and provided with stickers. In addition to the championship, there are also random tasks. This usually one drives NPCs (Non-Player Character) from A to B time one must not build accidents, sometimes it should go rapidly to the point or we follow sometimes someone around then to see that the character of the helping of his girlfriend is deceived: D
Online:
Now, normally you are permanently online on the go, which also accounts for the appeal of the game yes. Unfortunately, there are currently some problems with the servers and the online functions are severely limited. Although you encounter other players on the islands and can also this challenge them to a duel, online races with multiple players are currently not at least on the PS3 possible. The Club servers are currently not in operation. You can set up clubs, organize races, of course, members recruit etc. That's all I can to the club system, however, does not say, because I have not played part 1 and here yes not yet had the opportunity to deal with it.
Conclusion:
Despite not just contemporary graphics and the one or the other weakness, I find the game class. For me, fits the whole package and I'm the weekend immersed in the world of TDU.
The most important part, namely online, although not yet supported, but which multiplayer runs in these times already from the start properly?
That is why I give the game 4 out of 5 stars. Looking at the list of deficiencies at, you would probably purely rational 3 of 5 come (or for some even less). But there has captivated despite these problems and shortcomings me the game, it has earned the 4th star. I would love to give 5 stars, but the is the game then did not meet.
I hope I could help.
